In Praise of Civilization         Humans need to be very proud of civilization.    Jesus said to heal the sick and feed the poor.   Today society heals the sick like never before, the poor are a minority, and the dead are brought back to life on the operating table.   Modern society is the nearest thing to Jesus' heaven-on-earth yet devised.   Humans did it through mind-and-knowledge, not heart-and-wisdom.    Civilization did this its own way.   Kings have been replaced by democracy.  Science has replaced the Church.  Business-science created freedom from kings and religion.    Humans have never lived so well.    They have solved the biggest problems of civilization after 12,000 difficult years.   We need to be very proud of what we have achieved.                                    Offering Leadership in Peace for Our Future
