    1. Hi Michael, Michelle and Zach only gave me the rough draft for blog #2 (the first one from Africa) late last night. I am editing it now, adding pics, and hope to get it posted either late today or tomorrow! Cheers, Kersey

      1. Hello Kersey. It is now seven days into this adventure. No news. Most abroad programs I am experienced with post every day. Would love to see what is happening.

  1. Hi Michael, the blog is student driven, I merely edit it. they are extremely busy and it takes them some time to get material to me, which I then have to edit and add pictures to – it all takes time. Unfortunately, bogging takes away from time in the field, and we prefer students to be out in the bush participating rather than in camp on the computer, so there won’t be a blog every day. Our goal was to get out 2-3 for the trip. There are, however; a Hopkinton/Bow Facebook page, the Original Wisdom Facebook page, the Nature Guide Training Facebook page, and an e-mail list that one of the parents developed that short updates and photos are regularly posted to. I hope this helps and we do hope to get a blog out later today (but we spent the morning tracking lions). Best, Kersey

  2. Beautifully written, Michelle! Thanks for your vivid descriptions and taking us through the beginning of you South African journey.

  3. Great job zach! I can tell that you will all learn as much from Mhlavasi as she will learn from this experience!

  4. Enjoyed reading your post, Michelle! What a wonderful adventure you are having! I could really get a sense of all of the amazing things you are seeing and learning. Keep the posts coming!

  5. What a nice concerted effort on the blog! The photos, descriptive writing, and vantage point bring the trip to life, leaving me anticipating the next post. Thanks!

  6. I am truly amazed that my child is on this trip. The photos and all the writing leave me in awe. I find myself reading it so fast I have to go back and read it again, and again, and again. I cannot wait to read what is coming next.

  7. I am enamored by all the experiences that are happening for each one of you. I especially love the discovery… and the unknown…and the idea that humans may not know. But just being present and aware makes the experience spectacular. So very thankful.. so very proud of each of you. And I love you dear Michelle….my daughter…my pride!

  8. What a beautiful post! I love that you are learning the practice of mindfulness in the African bush … along with all of the other amazing experiences, lessons, and adventures. I’m enjoying the diversity of these posts from Michelle and Zach. I’m learning so much! Keep them coming!

    1. Hi, Holly, please go to the programs and services tab, and the first item in the drop down menu is the link to the July 2017 program. It would be so great if you could come! I’m sure you miss the pull of Africa as much as I do… -Kersey
